Why should we understand UML when doing Agile?
This blog provides a place for Jeff McKenna to muse on all things Agile.
Now that we are introduced, I will move to first person. I am Jeff McKenna, the Chief Agile Evangelist at Serena Software. In this blog I hope to capture some of my random and perhaps not so random thoughts, musings, teachings and rants as they occur to me.
I am helping Serena with a new Agile product, coaching a number of teams within Serena as they transition to Agile, in particular Scrum, and will be working with Serena customers and partners as things move along. This work will give me many opportunities to contemplate the old and the new in the world of Agile.
You may not know of me since I am not widely published and I am not always visible. I have been in software development since 1962 in all roles and in the last couple of decades have been focussing on Agile practices. I was a consultant to the first Scrum team in 1993 and count my first Agile project as one in 1987. I am currently a CSM, CSP and CSC if certifications are interesting to you.
Philosophically I am a Buddhist and I love good food and race cars.
Ask any questions you want by posing a question. I'll get back with an answer when I can.
